THE COSMIC DANCE

If the Universe was space , just a vacuum that contains all the matter that
exists then there is more to it than just vacuum. From the smallest of spaces to the vastness of this COSMOS, it has been known as Bhramand by Vedic philosophers for thousands of centuries. My response to a question by a net friend regards the existence of GOD, the very word that is the cause of most troubles between people who populate this earth, was this ..."If there was a GOD he must be living in this vast space somewhere or in the smallest possible space that is available to him". It is normally fruitless to hold a sensible conversation with religious minded empty heads on two legs. So if "IT" (since we can't determine GOD's sex lets call him "IT") as we agree dwells in every bit of matter and drives all life where ever it ticks in the Universe, is THE maker of all. Would you agree if I said that "IT" must be the most invisible and Nanoest of the Nano, hence "IT" must have started to build this Universe from scratch starting from smallest of Cosmic matters. I have my own theory regards the Cosmos, Lets say that the smallest of particles is also the smallest of planetary systems (electrons going round the nucleus of PROTONS and NEUTRONS)......Now you will ask me what’s beyond Neutrons and Protons?

....."Same as the vast empty space that you see, it all repeats in the smallest space. Now, you may ask what has all this to do with "IT”. Science has proved that there are so called BLACK HOLES in space that is vacuum . These BLACK HOLE are super vacuums that go around apace devouring all that come in their path,(a super vacuum body sucking all COSMIC matter from all directions and not a tornado in space) there are millions of them in the COSMOS, all doing their COSMIC job of cleansing space, also devouring other BLACK HOLES that happen to be in their way, increasing their size and capacity to devour even bigger space bodies. I would call these MAHA VACUUMS.

Over billions of years these MAHA VACUUMS devouring each other till there are none left becoming one. That is THE recipe of SHIVA'S COSMIC dance. All matter in one COSMIC VACUUM, packed to such a size, every bit of ENERGY where nothing moves, time freezes, its contained in this BHRAMAH pack with pressures of COSMIC scales beginning a reaction for another cycle of the so called BIG BANG. The answer for that "IT" thus lies in the smallest of matters, that contain the smallest of BLACK HOLES again holding the very matter that makes the COSMOS. In other words the key to "IT" is that unfathomable vacuum, the big nothing, the "0". The "BHRAMA SHUNYA", eternal nothing, is the one every one is searching for will remain unseen by all. All these earthly human GODS are useless effort to attain NIRVANA. Would it make any difference to this vast space if a nothing (earth) is destroyed on surface by its inhabitants? No.

Humans are only performing their natural duty in the process of destruction (self destruction) by disturbing the nature they are surrounded with. Their actions are natural too, in their actions lie their destruction for bringing unbalance to the very elements that they and other life depend on.
Having said all this it also means that FORCE of GRAVITY (funny an apple had to fall on Newton and he discovers GRAVITY) also lies within this so called BLACK HOLE that lies deep inside an atom, trying to suck in or attaching to any matter near to it. GOD fearing mortals always have a question, (who made that)? Who gives a hoot?

Who ever reads this has his GOD (IT) given right to take it as cobblers, may be it is cobblers, but than so many great thinkers were also taken as blasphemers of Christianity (many lost their lives). Mind you blasphemy is a concept born out of Middle Eastern faiths, not belonging to Hinduism and religions originating from, so who cares, what you or anyone else thing about what is said above?
The Universe can be compared to a bath full of soap suds, millions of little spaces within an outer bubble that contain all that is. The Universe, a space so vast that a collapse of a star disturbs all nearest to it like an imploding bubble disturbing bubbles nearest to it. Disturbance occurring to the most distant COSMIC bodies is so minute that its virtually unfelt same as a bubble imploding at one end of the tub has no visible effect on a bubble at the other end of the tub, does not mean a change has not taken place . Looking at an imploding bubble making more room, changing shape and structure of pull (compare that to GRAVITY, all COSMIC matter is attached with each by this pull) by other neighbouring bubbles, is what happens in the COSMOS. Thus when all the SHUNYAS have busted to make a BHRAMA SHUNYA the cycle of SHIVAS COSMIC dance has begun for the so called BIG BANG.

INDIA EXPERIENCED

INDIA EXPERIENCED
Anyone who has driven on Indian roads must have had near misses. The most dangerous drivers with no road sense and have no regard for road safety.
It is very difficult to understand the mind of Indian road users, the most educated to the most illiterate and the richest to the hand to mouth. All are at fault. It seems the licensing agencies are the culprits, where no driving licences are issued without greasing the hands of officials (every thing done through agents), without these middlemen one stands no chance to even obtain an application form for a driving test.
Driving test procedure is comical and pathetic (this may differ from test centre to test centre throughout the country). The examiner sits at a window a distance away from the learner driver at the wheels of a car who is asked to drive forward in the first gear and reverse only a few yards (the examiner’s eyes seldom on this learner driver) passes him. Next process is the photo and finger printing and voila the licence is there in a few minutes, no questions asked.
Roads in many parts of the country are getting better by day, but the public is not ready for the use of such advanced road system, where hardly a few know the road signs, many can’t even read or right.
One may find oneself in a dangerous situation on a duel carriage way , where a car, a two wheeler, a lorry or even a police vehicle using lanes of a carriage way as a normal road driving head on to the on coming traffic. Accident scenes that one finds on Indian roads are a quiz to solve. Could it be, brake failure, tyre burst, a drunken driver, full beam of on coming traffic, a feral dog, a cow, a buffalo, a pig , or even a road user on two legs who only walks where his or her nose points to. The only difference is when ever a vehicle runs over an animal it stays there on the road till scavenging birds have nothing to peck on and the rotting remains stay there for days on, while humans are claimed and cleared after a lengthy police procedure, only to be grilled and questioned and to line the pockets of police and hospital staff.
Accidents also happen due to very poor road maintenance, drivers dodging pot holes big enough to cause serious damage to vehicles. Road humps appear without any signage again causing serious damage (these road humps have no standards; they are made according to ones liking).
Pavements are not there for public to walk on; they are there for homeless and hawkers. The disabled and aged do not exist for Indian road planners or else they would not construct knee high pavements, no wonder wheel chair bound are a rare sight. Surely the cost to human life and damage to wheeled property must run in billions of rupees in insurance claims (who give a damn about uninsured millions unaccounted for). Rural road users are the worst culprits, give ways (what are they) means just join the main road traffic without looking left or right. Roundabouts are a real fun, where one finds the shortest way possible to join the exits and also be considerate and stop in a roundabout to give way to entering traffic.
Talk about NOISE POLUTION; the sound of a claxon is something that is considered an orchestral instrument. Every minute of the twenty four, three hundred sixty five and a quarter days is blaring time. No place is immune to noise pollution; it seems we Indians love the sound of horns. Are we ever going to come to the levels of driving we find abroad, forget about the western countries; middle eastern and far eastern lands have better and disciplined road users, their discipline and consideration for other road users is far superior than ours, feat which we will never be able to achieve (or will we?). It’s a million dollar question that has no answer, yes may be possible if there were only a couple of factors responsible for this rule less cacophony on these killer roads, but there are as many as there are people in the land. Road rage is on the rise and people are accustomed to taking law in their hands, at times beating individuals to death (life has no value in India). Police are seen beating drivers with lathis (bamboo staffs) and loosening their bonny joints, perhaps a process to empty their wallets with ease. Police corruption is a disease that has no anti dotes. It is religion (Laxmi gotten both good and evil ways) is pure.
Like many say India is a state of functioning chaos, indeed it is.

LIARS PARADISE!!!!!!

Lies have always fascinated me one way or the other. Why do people lie, or why are lies, lies and not the other way, or are lies really lies or just distortion of truth?....So on and so forth. Can liars be compulsive or can lying be genetically connected; do braggarts come in the same category of liars, or those who fantasise be joined in the lying club. All these are questions that often churn my brain and try to answer myself usually on my daily walks.
I also compare people that come in my daily contacts and judge for myself whether they lied or not during their course of conversation with me. I am of an opinion that humans lie some more some less during their life time , lies are lies white or what ever we may call them . I don’t think even people like Mahatma Gandhi and his cadre were totally truthful, being a highly educated and a high profile public figure they must have developed a cleverly manipulative technique of lying, I put him in a category of dictators, the Gandhian way( manipulator of masses by emotional blackmail the right way to put it ). Their way of dealing with situations worked for the betterment of people, but not always. Their ego usually hurts their kith and kin directly or indirectly.

Is lying hereditary? If no, than why do some families have members who are compulsive liars in their lineage to several generations? If braggarts are to be included in liar’s category, why do we find them several generations down? Mind you braggarts are a different breed altogether, they don’t mean harm to their fellow humans; they solely are involved in their personal gratification.

We develop lying from very early days of our childhood for very petty reasons in our daily lives till it becomes a rabid habit in some cases, some hurt people and some don’t . In the home ,we brake things and lie , we spill things and lie , we lie for gaining things from our parents, we lie when we come home late, we lie about who we go out with , we lie about what we eat outside of our homes ( if we are restricted to certain foods indoors due to religious reasons ), we lie about tasks completed in the house of daily chores , dressing , games, internet, you name it and we lie about it in one way or the other . Why why...............? There could be a thousand and one reasons.

One can understand a reason behind lying, is to hide a crime committed, be it a minor or a serious crime. So in that case, every instance (where lies are told) would categorise to some extent, a crime. So, white lies are lies told where a crime has been committed at a lowest rung of crime scale, where the action does not harm anyone (in most cases depending on peoples involved). Here I say this because even a minor act of crime (which will be not considered a crime with some groups of people) where in some religious groups could become a crime punishable by death.

People have been jailed on the bases of lies, people have been executed on the bases of lies, women are being killed or stoned to death on the bases of lies, hands are being chopped off for crimes not committed on the bases of lies, people end their marriages on the bases of lies, businesses are ruined, wars are fought, empires lost all on the bases of lies and the list is endless.

Lying is a human characteristic, not found in any other animal species. Animals are not capable of lying; or are they? Chameleons change their colour according to their surroundings for their defence and hunt insects; insects metamorphose according to surroundings in their defence and hunt other insects, fish do it, primates do it, smallest and the largest of animals do it, so can we also put them in the category of liars, the animal way. (Is it then a natural behaviour of all living organisms to act in their defence, and lying becomes a tool?) However they settle their scores naturally and hold no grudge for later, unlike humans.

Religious prophets are perhaps liars too one way or the other. Revelations come to these prophets from the so called God (must be an insane god to put one person in charge to lead millions of people as chosen beings) in their dreams, all those who do not fit into that group of religious fanaticism are destined to die is the command of that God, how sad. Is that perhaps what drove Hitler to kill millions of Jews and fellow humans, lies? Is that what perhaps drove the Christians to kill American Indians in their millions, lies. Is that what drove the killer armies of Islam to plunder and kill infidels of other lands, lies. Lies that come as religious teachings from the so called God's divine words, lies that come out of preachers mouths as God's divine words. Could it be than that lies told or practiced en mass become truths if unchallenged.

Historians lie, scientists lie, doctors lie, teachers lie, politicians lie, priests, rabbi, mullahs, Buddhist monks, witch doctors lie. You lie, I lie and we all lie, it’s a liar’s paradise, we lie north, we lie south, we lie east and west, villages lie towns lie , cities lie, countries lie and continents lie, some lie at the lowest rung and others at the top in the lying scale.

So next time you lie or brag, make sure or at least try to stay at a lowest rung so as, least harm is done to your fellow human beings.

Useful slang: - Ackamaracka, balls, bull, bullshit, crap, fanny, fibs, fish story, get up, good one, jiggery pokery, jive, likely story, moody, pitch, porky, sell, snow, snow job, straight shit, tall story, tall tale, whopper.

Lie: - Blow smoke up one’s arse, BS, bull shit, bull, clock a daffy, crap, draw a long bow, feed one a line, give a little leg, one stuff, fly a kite, play stuff, shit through one’s teeth, three-sheet.

Settlement on the South side of the River Paat.

Ever since settlements began on the other side of the river leaving behind the old village claiming land to build on (granted by the then Rao of the region). One can see nothing, but progress of a hard working community. Times were very hard for these hardy people, tilling land owned by the land barons, the produce of their sweat divided in five equal heaps, four of which only to be taken away by the Raj, the Banias , the Landlords and other leaches of the times.
This poor farming community were living a hand to mouth existence for the most part of the first quarter and later part of the twentieth century. Resilience, honesty, dexterity and their faith in their religion was to their side against all other odds. They tilled the land they did not own from early morning until late after sunset. The women folk would start their day at around 3.00 am fetching water from the village well, brass pots two or three balanced on their heads, a journey or two depending on the needs of a household. Daily ritual turning of the stone mill to make millet flour was not the job for weaklings. Churning butter milk and separating makhan(butter)singing along religious hymns and then washing up all the equipment ready for the next day. Next item of daily chores would be rotlas(roties) made from bajra(millet)baked on a clay tava with plenty of ghee(clarified butter). Every household, farmers or not had a cow or two for the daily supply of milk and butter through out the year were well kept and fed. Ladies would finish all the chores connected to the cows and go to temple for prayers, come back and prepare a bhat(a large basket to take rotlas, buttermilk and gur(a kind of sugar made from cane), to be taken to the farm for lunch, this was a staple for all in those days. Feeding all the farm animals, extracting water from the well with the help of oxen pulling a Kosh(a large bellows like sack made from hide) to irrigate the field was back breaking work.
Late in the evening women folk would arrive first to start cooking, a large pot of khichadi with ghee and occasionally curried buttermilk thickened with millet flour or vegetables to go with it was an every day supper. Very rarely on festive days sweet rice or sukhdi made from wheat ghee and gur would be a treat. Wheat came into their lives very late, well after the independence of India.
It’s very difficult to put a date on the very first men folk who ventured outside and abroad to make a living, but that would have been in the beginning of the 1900s to etch a living as bonded labourers laying railways for the British in East Africa. Equipped with some working tools related to masonry, some clothing, half a dabba of sukhdi, enough pickle usually made from mangos or carrots to last them during the difficult voyage on small trading sea faring boats that would take more than a month along the coast of Arabia and Africa. Most important of all the belongings they took with them was the Pooja pack (a prayer book, gopi chand for tillak and their personal deity). It must have been the most heart wrecking experience for these young men to leave their wives and families or for the unmarried their parents to a future and lands unknown to them. Frequent draughts and sheer hardship must have forced these hardy men to leave for better pastures beyond the horizons never knowing when their next journey back home would be, some never to return, some after many years.
Living in harsh conditions, accommodated 8 to10 in a small shack and years of hard labour in the distant land had paid dividends and savings began to trickle down to the mother land. Very few women folk began to go and join their men in early or late 1930s most were still separated from their wives some never joined them; some joined them while returning for a very brief period of time and back again after a stay of few months by the returning boats.
As time ticked they began to prosper (prosperity compared to what they could never earn from their own small holdings) and monies sent home had begun to change lives of families back home. New houses began to mushroom; small holdings which were watered with the help of oxen were being replaced by oil engines, oil lamps or lanterns were replaced by electricity, bicycles began to appear in the village (were all items of luxury in them days).Old gramophones had a place in some homes too. All benefited somewhat from these earnings sent from abroad directly or indirectly. The shopkeepers, the gorvas (traditional tailors), the mochis (cobblers), the carpenters, the dye and block print makers, the Brahmins (without whom these pious people would not attain nirvana) the rabaris who would collect all the cattle for grazing out in the countryside and back by sunset and many others who benefited on the financial well being of this community directly or indirectly. After independence during 50s and 60s onwards this village on the South of the river truly began metamorphosis, it had a primary school a hospital and a secondary school in the late 60s, most homes had electric connections and running water in the 70s, the first village to do so in the district. It had a beautiful crematorium built on the outskirts of the village south side of the river (most months of the year remained dry, tasting water only when it rained enough).
Honour goes to all the mothers who brought up children in the absence of their bread winners. There was a generation of children, who had not seen their fathers for many years; some never, had only their name attached after theirs. Life for them was complete incomplete and yet a happy one, just as children any where in the world. Playing in the streets their favourite games, both boys and girls had their respective games like gully danda, kabbadi, kho kho, kathi, spin tops, nargel, ghodi, marbles, games played with cowry shells, kite flying and few others. Not forgetting the most enjoyable of times, during all festivals like the Holi, Janmastmi, The Diwali and the melas in the rainy seasons. Education in those days was good enough for these children up to the seventh standard if they were lucky, or else only up to first or second year; education of girls had been discouraged due to social taboos, never the less improved living standards were to change all that for ever. In general all those hard times had for the mothers; there was a sign of good omen to be for the future generations.
The late 60s had seen another change in the circumstances of these people from this village (story of this village relates to some 24 other villages home to the same community and progressed equally well), the British had opened their doors to thousands of people registered as citizens began to settle in England to take jobs in factories and other labour related industries. Political situations of the free and independent East African nations had forced many Asians to leave the land for good to settle in new lands again. Hundreds of thousands began their new life all over again in America, Canada, parts of Europe, Australia and many other lands very strange to them. Sheer hard work and habitual savers made them prosper all over again. The new generation did well educationally in all fields and industry. These are one of the most industrious people of a hard working community and will remain so for generations to come. Every member of this community is part and parcel of success and can hold their heads high in the development on their respective little villages.
This village, (although in no way resemble a village in today’s times) south of the all year round dry river, boasts of all the major Indian Banks has one of India’s highest savings. It has some of the most modern and well furnished residential developments, shops equipped with every modern day need, from grocery to clothing to jewellery, hardware stores, you name it its there.
This is a very brief tale of a village (not so much of a village any more) hardly 150 years old is worthy of saluting, is non other than “MADHAPAR”, in the District of Kutch bordering south west of Bhuj (suffered utter devastation during the 2000 earth quake) where Indian Prime Ministers and top Indian Brass have insisted to come and pay tribute to the people for their contribution towards their share of national patriotism.

fascination of hindu number system

I. The Concept of Zero The concept of zero came from the revered Hindu sages in Vedic times thousands of years ago. Without the concept of zero the binary system is blind. No counting, no commerce or no computer business. The earliest documented “date” was found in today’s Gujarat [BC 585-586] in an inscription on Sankedia copper plate. In Brahamaphuta—Siddhanta of Brahamagupta (7th century CE), zero was lucidly explained. Muslim invaders from Central Asia crossing the Hindukush mountain ranges invaded Bharat 1300 years ago and plundered its beauty, riches, books, thrones and what not. They plagued the holy land with sword, loot, arson and rape and destroyed and ravaged the whole land in the name of jehad and “Allah”. There was no Steven Spielberg (Schindler’s List) like cinema director who could document this sordid past of our history. There was no patent system at that time. Might was right. They considered those substances of robbery maal-e-ganimat (booty looted from kafirs to be distributed among themselves and friends of theirs) and thus inculcated those invaluable theorems of mathematics, astronomy and geometry in Arabic books in around 770-1200 CE. From there, those extraordinary concepts were carried to Spanish Europe in the 8th century. However the concept of zero was referred to as shunya in the early Sanskrit texts of the 4th century BC and was clearly explained in Pingala’s Chand Sutra of the 2nd century too. II. The Contribution to Astronomy Hindu sages told modern scientists how to map the sky in terms of glaring stars almost 4000 years ago. Copernicus published his theory of revolution of the Earth around the Sun in 1543 AD only. But our Aryabhatta in the 5th century had stated that the Earth revolves around the Sun in these specific words: “Just as a person boarding on a boat feels that the trees on the banks are moving, people on the revolving earth also feel that the sun is moving”. Such illustrious teaching of astronomy was rarely seen in the contemporary writings of the Greek astronomers. In his Aryabhatteem, he clearly stated that our Earth was round and it rotated on its own axis, orbited the Sun and was suspended in the space. It also explained that the lunar and solar eclipses occurred by the interplay of the shadows of the Sun, the Moon and the Earth. III. The Law of Gravity The Law of Gravity was known to the ancient Hindu astronomer Bhaskaracharya. In his Surya Siddhanta he noted: “Objects fall on the Earth due to force of attraction of the Earth. Therefore, the Earth, planets, constellations, the Moon, and the Sun are all held in the galaxy due to this great cosmic attraction.” It was in 1687—1200 years later—that Sir Isaac Newton discovered (re-discovered?) the Law of Gravity, which was already invented by the greatest Hindu astronomer Bhaskaracharya, of course which was written in the holiest language, Sanskrit. IV. The Invention of Trikonmiti The word geometry seems to have emerged from the Sanskrit word gyaamiti, which means measuring the Earth. And the word trigonometry is similar to trikonmiti meaning measuring triangular forms. Euclid was famous for the invention of geometry in 300 BC whilst the concept of trikonmiti had emerged in 1000 BC in Bharat. It is evident lucidly from today’s “practice of making fire alters (at homagni kshetra) in different shapes, e.g., round, triangular, hexagonal, pentagonal, square and rectangular”. It was part and parcel of daily pujas and homagnis in ancient times. The treatise of Surya Siddhanta (4th century) described in fascinating details about trigonometry, which was introduced in Europe by Briggs 1200 years later in the 16th century. V. The Invention of Infinity The value of “Pi” was first invented by the ancient sages of Bharat. The ratio of circumference and diameter of a circle is known as “Pi” which gives its value as 3.14592657932... The old Sanskrit text Baudhayna Sulbha Sutra of the 6th century BC mentioned that above-mentioned ratio as approximately equalled to that of Aryabhatta’s ratio [in 499 BC] worked out the value of “Pi” to the fourth decimal place as [3x (177/1250) = 3.1416]. Many centuries later, in 825 AD, Arab mathematician, Mohammed Ibn Musa admitted: “This value of “Pi” was given by the Hindus (62832/20,000 = 3.1416).” VI. Baudhayna’s Sulbha Sutra versus Pythagoras’s Theorem The famous Pythagoras’s theorem states: “The square of the hypotenuse angled triangle equals to the sum of the two sides.” This theorem was actually discovered by Euclid in 300 BC but Greek writers attributed this to Pythagoras. But the irony of fate is that our so-called intellectuals (indeed Macaulay’s sons who have forgotten their old but rich and glorious ancient Hindu heritage) had also accepted that theorem as a contribution of Pythagoras. They never read or tried to know that Baudhayna’s Sulbha Sutra which has been existing for many thousands of years (written in the Sanskrit) had already described lucidly the theorem as follows: “The area produced by the diagonal of a rectangle is equal to the sum of the area produced by it on two sides.” VII. The Measurement of Time or Time Scale In Surya Siddhanta, Bhaskaracharya calculated the time taken by the Earth to revolve around the Sun up to the 9th decimal place. According to Bhaskaracharya’s calculation it is 365.258756484 days. Modern scientist accepted a value of the same time as 365.2596 days. The difference between the two observations made by ancient Hindu sage Bhaskaracharya just by using his super brain (in the 4th century AD) and today’s NASA (National Aeronautic and Space Agency) scientists of America by using super computer (in the 20th century AD) is only 0.00085, i.e., 0.0002 per cent of difference. The ancient Bharatbhoomi had given the world the idea of the smallest and largest measuring units of Time. In modern time, only Stephen Hockings, Cambridge University Professor of theoretical physics, had the courage to venture into the abysmal depth of the eternity of Time. Astonishingly, our ancient sages taught us the following units of time:
Krati =34,000th of a second
Truti =300th of a second
2 Truti =1 Luv
2 Luv = 1 Kshana
30 Kshana =1 Vipal
60 Vipal = 1 Pal
60 Pal = 1 Ghadi (=24 Minutes)
2.5 Ghadi = 1 Hora (=1 Hour)
24 Hora = 1 Divas (1 Day)
7 Divas = 1 Saptah (1 Week)
4 Saptah = 1 Maas (1 Month)
2 Maas = 1 Ritu (1 Season)
6 Ritu = 1 Varsha (1 Year)
100 Varsha = 1 Satabda (1 Century)
10 Shatabda = 1 Saharabda
432 Saharabda = 1Yug(Kali Yuga))
2 Yuga = 1 Dwapar Yuga
3 Yuga = 1 Treta Yuga
4 Yuga = Kruta Yuga
10 Yuga = 1 Maha Yuga (4,320,000)
1000 Maha Yuga = 1 Kalpa
1 Kalpa = 4.32 Billion Years.
Therefore, the lowest was 34,000th of a second known as krati and the highest of the measurement of the Time was known as kalpa, which equalled to 4.32 billion years. Is it not amazing? Are you not feeling proud to be a Hindu descendent? Swami Vivekananda, the modern sage of Bharat, stated in his famous sermons compiled in his Rousing Call to the Hindu Nation, “Take pride in Hinduism; pronounce yourselves as a descendant of a Hindu. Boast to be a Hindu and give a clarion call to rouse the Hindu nation from its lethargy and slumber.” VIII. The Invention of Decimal System It was the ancient Bharatbhoomi that gave us the ingenious methods of expressing all the numbers by means of 10 symbols (decimal systems)—an invaluable and gorgeous idea that escaped the genius of Archimedes and Apollonius, two of the greatest Greek philosophers and mathematician produced by antiquity (100-130BC). The highest prefix used for raising 10 to the power in today’s mathematics is “D” for 1030 (for Greek Deca). While as early as 100 BC Hindu mathematicians had exact names for figures up to 1053. a. Ekam = 1 b. Dashkam = 10 (101) c. 1 Shatam = 100 (102) d. 10 Shatam = 1 Shahashram = 1000 (103) e. 10 Dash Shahashram = 10,000 (104) f. Laksha = 100,000 (105) g. Dash Laksha = 10,00,000 (106) h. Kotihi = 10, 00, 0000 (107) i. Ayutam = 100,000,000 (109) j. Niyutam = 100,000,000,000 (1011) k. Kankaram = 10,000,000,000,000 (1013) l. Vivaram = 10,000,000,000,000,000 (1016) m. Pararadahaa = 1017 n. Nivahata = 1019 o. Utsangaha = 1021 p. Bahulam = 1023 q. Naagbaalaha = 1025 r. Titlambam = 1027 s. Vyavasthaanapragnaptihi = 1029 t. Hetuhellam = 1031 u. Karahuhu = 1033 v. Hetvindreeyam = 1035 w. Sampaata Lambhaha = 1037 x. Gananaagatihi = 1039 y. Niravadyam = 1041 z. Mudraabalam = 1043 aa. Saraabalam = 1045 ab. Vishamagnagatihi = 1047 ac. Sarvagnaha = 1049 ad. Vibhutangaama = 1051 ae. Tallakshanaam = 1053 Is it not amazing to know that the ancient Hindu sages used to remember them just by using their outstanding memory power or was there some super computer known to them also, which we are quite unaware of? In Anuyogadwar Sutra, written 100 BC, one numeral had been shown to be raised to as high as 10140 which is beyond our outmost stretches of imagination. All of our remaining hidden treasures, which had not been destroyed or stolen by the foreign mercenaries and invaders, were written in Sanskrit, mother of all languages, which should be revived. It is our legacy to inherit such rich property that our forefather had left for us by their meticulous observations over thousands of years ago. All hidden treasures are written in Sanskrit, which we are quite ignorant of and our so-called Macaulay’s sons are trying their best to prevent us from knowing about our glorious past. Sir Monier-Williams rightly said: “Hindus are perhaps the only nation, except the Greeks, who have investigated independently and in true scientific manner, the general laws that govern the evolution of languages.” There was no patent system at that time. Might was right. They considered those substances of robbery maal-e-ganimat (booty looted from kafirs to be distributed among themselves and friends of theirs) and thus inculcated those invaluable theorems of mathematics, astronomy and geometry in Arabic books in around 770-1200 CE. More than this, the Hindus had made considerable advances in astronomy, algebra, arithmetics, botany and medicine, not to mention their superiority in grammar, long before some of these sciences were cultivated by the most ancient nations of Europe. Indeed, Hindus were Spinozists 2000 years before the birth of Spinoza, Darwinians many centuries before the birth of Darwin, and evolutionists, centuries before the doctrine of evolution had been accepted by Aldus Huxley’s of our times, and before any word like evolution existed in any language in this world. We should take a vow to work together to search those hidden treasures out, propagate the notion that Sanskrit is not a dead language. Sanskrit is the elite of the elitist, classic of the classics and it should be revived once again. We will again sit in the seat of the world assembly with our head held high and with pride. I would like to draw the final touch with the quotation from Swami Vivekananda, “I do not see into the future nor do I care to see. But one vision I see clear as life before me, that the ancient Mother has awakened once more sitting on her throne rejuvenated, more glorious than ever. Proclaim her to all the world with the voice of peace and benediction.” (The writer is Associate Professor, Department of Medicine, Manipal Teaching Hospital, Pokhara, Nepal,

SHANGHAI, MUMBAI and VILAYAT

http://suryadev.blogspot.com/

Shanghai, Mumbai and Vilayat.
Sala Mumbai ko kya Shanghai banayega? If one needs to find beefy bullshitting politicians there are pockets full in India. These gutka chewing, tobacco chewing, pan chewing till bedtime politicians need to improve their habits to set a good example to the public.
It seems we Asians (including many other immigrants) are gods chosen people to create shi*hole and a dump of a place where ever we live. Yes that very much seems the case in London and many other cities of Great Britain and Europe. We have made an asshole of the law and freedom, we never enjoyed back in our own countries. Wearing of traditional clothing or foods related to religious requirements or not taking part in school’s sports activities and refusing to take part in other’s faith activities.
How about the Green Code? What the hell is that? Never use the zebra crossings; never use the pelican crossings, the green man do not matter, the yellow boxes has any real purpose. Don’t give a damn about left, right turn signs or one is free to make three point turns on a busy high street. Sorry officer we are Sikhs, not allowed to wear “helmets” so on and so forth.
Rubbish. What rubbish? Plastic bags, paper bags, take away packs and all sorts of litter. Don’t have to use bins. That is the job of the road sweeper. Chewing gum on every slab of the pavement and PAN SPIT (one of the filthiest habits and TB on the rise) on every available corner. Years of deep heavy cough brings out thick greenish gooey expectoration, tactfully placed on the tongue and shot out at bullet speed from the car window. Lands on some unlucky lucky riders visor. Did I say we create a shi*hole of every place we live in? That is exactly it
What about the work place? To hell with the health and safety act coz that is for the white people only. Keep the work place neat and safe looking when ever there is an inspection, as soon as the inspector turns his back all back to normal. All probably done in fear of losing a job. Kind of blackmail? (APNA foreman) known for using abusing ass kicking slave treating their own type. A white man is still someone who can’t be told off if he is at fault. (Look in at a black, brown or yellow direction and yell loudly to tell off a white man) Pay your own types lower than a white at par.
We also have specialised and mastered criminal activities according to race and creed. E.G . Drugs and gun crime is a speciality of some. Drugs, guns, terror and prostitution for the other group. Some are criminally professional at white collar crime. Car break-in, house break-in and muggings you name it and we do it.
There are so many ways of draining the National Funds. Get registered as disabled where in reality being fit as a bull, (must be good thespians or the G.P.s are blind as bats and thick as two planks) and working illegally. False insurance claims faked up stolen cars, damage to properties, road side injuries, travel and if one has an extra fart try to claim health insurance too. List is endless.
Social ills are endless too. Some can’t get rid of the dowry system. A bride is still regarded as property in her new household, with a right to use and abuse her in every way according to each member’s volition. Equal rights law in this country has been made a mockery of. (The whites have f**ked it up too) Having polygamous relationship on religious bases, discarding them as worn clothes, or even goes as far as killing our own daughters, sisters or cousins are all part of our so called civilised cultures.
Last but not least, the white community has played a part too in shaping the immigrant community of today. They haven’t been the angels right from start same as the immigrants have not been the devils either. Both are to blame, but the immigrant community has to take the blame for all the evils of their respective social ills and stop pointing fingers at others. Without interfering into other’s cultures we have to learn to carry on and live and if the white community has any resentment towards the guest immigrant cultures, they have to look and search their own backyard too. At least I have searched mine.
